Dr. David L. Woodruff earned a D.D.S. degree from the University of Illinois Dental School in June, 1985. He also received a B.S. degree in Dentistry from U of I Dental School in December, 1983. Dr. Woodruff completed his undergraduate studies in Biology in May, 1981 at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and was accepted into Dental School after only three years of undergraduate work. He is a 1978 Pekin Community High School graduate.
Dr. Woodruff is professionally affiliated with the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, the Peoria District Dental Society, and the Tazewell County Dental Study Club. He also completes continuing education hours each year in order to stay current on new dental topics, procedures and materials.
He and his wife, Sue, were married in 1984, and they have two children: Katie and Joe. Prior to returning to the Peoria area in 1992, Dr. Woodruff practiced from 1985-1992 in Bourbonnais, IL. Although it was a difficult decision to leave a practice and patients whom he loved, Dave and Sue were thrilled at the opportunity to relocate back to their home town of Pekin and immediate and extended family.
Dr. Woodruff serves as a Junior Elder at St. John's Lutheran Church--Sand Prairie and as an Auction Committee Member for Good Shepherd Lutheran School. He is also a member of Tremont Sportsmen's Club, Wilmor Sportsmen's Club, Pheasants Forever, and Ducks Unlimited.
